Catch More, Stress Less

After losing a few days to the wind and sniffing around the beach we sent it back to our favorite rock today in beautiful weather. 

In a tiny pocket of conditions we were able to sneak two keeper Seabass past the seals before the island does what it March and April were tough on the Seabass front, but the island fishing for everything else was fun!  Thankfully May, and its moons, brought with it a few schools of seabass and big smiles on the boat. 

I am really encouraged by the sign I’ve The @pacificcoastsportfishingmag show starts today!  I’ll be bopping around and hanging with @abachar in his booth. I will also be sitting in on a panel with a bunch of killers on Sunday at 1:30. 

Looking forward to seeing everyone; try not to New year…..new name. I finally retired onedowner and replaced it with the business name “West Wind Sportfishing”. 

I also built a website with all the details about the fishing business for 2026. I spent quite a bit of time puttin Tomorrow night, December, 22 2025, @a_rob_outdoors @wahoo_son and myself will be hanging out and talking shop at @pacificcoastfishco in seal beach. 

$10 deposit includes an awesome sushi spread, provided by @pacificcoastfishco, and your first drink! Colorado ‘25 - After applying for elk and deer for a few years the lottery lords blessed @loeped and I with bull elk tags this year.  Hunting is a bit different than fishing in that, for the most part, you can’t just grab your gear and go It’s no secret that the cast to catch tunas have been all time and the groups this last week all opted for some run and gun fun! 

Poppers and stick baits on a long rod have been the go to offering.

With the freezer looking bleak on the squid front and wanting to stretch the new boats legs; I grabbed a Hi guys! 
This winter I went dark, spending time with my family and doing some hunting with friends, and making some big changes at the end of last season; I’ve got some updates for you.
