Captain Wes Pierson grew up in Southern California and was introduced to fishing at a very young age. From trout fishing in the Sierras and bass fishing at local lakes to offshore adventures in the family boat; he was hooked early on. After college and a stint in the corporate world he abruptly switched gears to follow his passion on the ocean. Since 2014 he has been working full time in the sportfishing industry and sharing his passion with countless other fishermen. After several years working for other people he decided to strike out on his own in 2025 and West Wind Sportfishing was born.
